Are you an experienced veterinarian with a passion for emergency medicine? Petzoic Vet Hospital has been proudly serving the Calgary community for over six months, and due to increasing demand, we are expanding our emergency services. The Role:

As an Emergency Veterinarian at Petzoic Vet Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our emergency care services. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver expert, life-saving emergency care in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled veterinarians, technologists, and support staff dedicated to excellence.
  • Utilize advanced technology like CT, ultrasound, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.

Qualifications:

  • A valid veterinary license (or eligibility for licensing) in Alberta.
  • Experience in emergency or urgent care veterinary medicine is highly desirable.
  • A strong commitment to high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

About The Role:
Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian. 

Qualifications:
Registered Veterinary Technician or Technologist 
Successfully  completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
Passed the VTNE or are eligible to write the VTNE 
Be in good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association
