Speaker Biography:

Born in Montreal, moved to Ontario as a kid.

Did a BSc in Biology.

Summer jobs as a zookeeper (Shubenacadie Wildlife Park).

Studied at OVC, graduated in 1985.

Residency at the Toronto Zoo.

Veterinarian at the Calgary Zoo since 1989 (Head of Vet Services since 2000).

Work with UCVM since its conception.

Two wonderful (grown) children, Gryphon and Hannah.
