Requirements: attending board meetings/dinners (2nd Wed of Feb, Apr, June, Oct, Dec) and replying to emails.

Speaker Biography:
Sandie is a zoo and wildlife veterinarian who loves the outdoors, the north and activities that take her there. She has been part of the veterinary team at the Wilder Institute's Calgary Zoo in various capacities since 1989, and had the opportunity to provide veterinary support to many field work projects during that time, from banding whooping crane chicks to tagging beluga and narwhal. Thoughts and concerns about the potential health impacts of the cumulative stressors affecting narwhal in the Anthropocene led to a PhD exploring this topic and 14 seasons in the field on Baffin Island.
