In these 2 lectures, Dr. Lappin will use a case based approach to discuss management of diarrhea in dogs and cats. Emphasis will be placed on use of appropriate diagnostic procedures, and nutritional management hints. We will cover Giardia, Tritrichomonas, bacterial diarrhea, probiotics/synbiotics, dietary trials and more!
Topic #2: Update on the management of feline interstitial cystitis and calculi. 2 sessions.
In these 2 lectures, Dr. Lappin will used a case based approach to discuss management of hematuria and periuria in cats. Emphasis will be placed on the ISCAID urinary infection treatment guidelines, urinary calculi, feline interstitial cystitis, and non-pharmacological management of stress in cats.
Topic #3: Update on the management of acute and chronic feline URI. 2 sessions.
In this 2 part lecture series, Dr. Lappin will review the acute and chronic causes of feline upper respiratory tract signs. Emphasis will be placed on diagnosis and management. We will cover the ISCAID respiratory treatment guidelines, how to do the diagnostic procedures in your own hospital and how to diagnosis and manage chronic infections with emphasis on feline herpesvirus 1 and stress.
