Dr. Aylin Atilla has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was five years old.

Her love of animals led her to “adopt” street animals, feeding cats that were around her city.

After going to high school in Medicine Hat, she pursued her veterinary degree, Master’s, and became a board-certified small animal surgeon (DACVS-SA) before moving back to Alberta in 2011.

Dr. Atilla has experience working in large multi-specialty veterinary hospitals and has been teaching at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for the past 10 years.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 sons as well as her 2 dogs (Beaver and Leroy) and her 2 cats (Lulu and Waffle).
